The Black Cats have signed their tenth new player this season.
Midfielder, Luke O’Nien, has joined the club following 3 years with Wycombe Wanderers.
He’s agree to an undisclosed fee, penning a two-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
O’Nien started his career with Watford before moving to Wycombe in July 2015.
The 23-year-old played a key role in the Chairboys’ promotion from Sky Bet League Two last season, making over 100 appearances for the club during a three-year spell.
Speaking about the move, O’Nien said:
“It’s a huge honour because it’s such a big club.
“The last few days have been pretty manic for me and it’s all happened so fast, but I’m delighted to be here, and I can’t thank the club enough for giving me the opportunity.
“The direction of the club is only going to be up, and I’m going to do everything I can to help get the club to back where it belongs.”
Over the weekend the club also saw Jack Baldwin swap Peterborough United for Sunderland AFC.
The changes have happened just before their League One season opener against Charlton Athletic this Saturday.
